Frantiska + Tim Gilman
Live and work in Prague and New York
We arrive at the final form of our work through collaboration
— there is almost a third persona, one that is simultaneously neither
of us, but also both of us. This dichotomy of subjectivity and
objectivity, proximity and distance, is reflected in other facets of
the work: tension, duality, and distance (often imposed by media)
that we feel from the real — be it nature, one another, society,
images, or our surroundings. We work in a broad variety of media,
whatever seems to best suit the particular problem.
