Oliver Musovik
1971, Skopje, Macedonia. Lives and works in Skopje

A series of photos accompanied with texts, sequel to the similar project about the apartment block in Skopje workers suburb Dracevo, where I live. The images depict scenes from the yard of the same building, a space shared and shaped by and for the building tenants in accordance to their needs. Documenting the traces that the tenants (without presenting them directly) leave in this space in a manner of a crime scene
photography. I try to explore the functioning of one complex urban social system, like my neighbourhood and also the relationship between the objects, space and people. The images are accompanied by short
anecdotal texts which intend to reveal the hidden layers that are not
visible on first sight from the images (especially by someone ho does not know the specific social context).
