| Ovskii is a live a/v performance of LoeeFrek generated
bitmap visuals on
a screen. Designed by [Skoltz_Kolgen], LoeeFrek is both a production
and creation tool, as well as a live performance software console
and
interface. It allows transduction of audio information into digital
video and live modification of them.
Ovskii is an attempt to paint with the sound, an acoustic pigment
in real time. In its temporal unfolding the sound structures the
performance into a time triptych (three themes/segments) that pulsates
and colours the visuals. For instance in Mono - cellular life, the
sounds texture is a
minimalist evocation of raw primary magma, primordial soup like
activity.
The corresponding image clusters and visual parameters were chosen
for their primordial simplicity, chaotic expanses and protocellular
cracklings.
In Field of tension, the guiding sound/image motif is that of a
magnetic force field. The result is an abstract energetic space
in which two
organismes are caught in a state of oscillating tension (positive/negative).
The initial chaos and ensuing tension gradually move towards an
increased complexity from which StruKtür emerges. As the piece
moves on in time and from one theme/segment to the next, sound and
image textures enact this mounting complexification from chaotic
behaviour,
to magnetic tension and emerging living forms.
