OLIVER PIETSCH
1972, Munich. Lives and works in Berlin

The Bodysnatcher shows a close up of a German policeman.
The videocamera moves back and forth, increasing the strong tension we can perceive in his expression. We don’t know where, why and how this action takes place. This climax is broken by a roar that, just for a glimpse, gives shape to a distress suspended till that moment.
Danger is everywhere, and a permanent alert is not enough to prevent it, but, at the same time, fear feelings could be lethal tools to create a state of easily exploitable paranoia.
