MARINA FULGERI
1978, Bologna. Lives and works in Bologna

London is a video project carried out in an urban area known by the artist for the first time. The strategy used by the artist is a radically
aggressive way to esplorate a foreign zone. With a fighting electric torch,
customary used during night hunts, Fulgeri makes an exploration that
reverses habitual relationship between country and urban landscape. This
link with the unknown, whether physic or psychological, often determines
invading shapes of analysis towards the reality the artist wishes to reveal.
Self-defence as first offence tool, following the same logic founding the
topical postulate of “preventive attack.”
