Michael Fullerton
1971, Glasgow. Lives and works in Glasgow

Realists are one and all defeated men brought back under the sway of science, who at some time demanded more of themselves without having the right to this more and the responsibility that goes with it — and who now honorably, revengefully represent by word and by deed the unbelief in the task of art. In the present day, the suspension of judgement is everywhere, and spreading — that agile skepticism which springs
impatiently from branch to branch, now gloomy like a cloud overcharged with question marks.

What loveliest finery is available for this disease!
Where does one not find this cripple today!
