Television (an address) is a three-part project that seeks to combine several different strategies in order to create a general platform of
critical thought. It utilizes the relatively new medium of streaming as its main tool. The direction it takes is that of thinking the potentiality of the new “tele-vision” that is now available, ready to be set to task. The
project is constructed out of the interaction of different unscripted
perspectives that come into contact with each other in a frame where they can create new short circuits of meaning.
In one of the components of Television (an address), a group or a single guest will be invited to sit in front of a television holding a live
microphone in one hand and a remote control to shift through news channels in the other. What appears on the TV monitor will be streamed alongside the voice of the guest(s) who will be addressing the news that they are watching live.
The live stream will be announced via email to targeted audiences. People will receive an email with an attached icon and a date and time. Recipients of the email will be invited to drag the icon to their desktop and click on it at a particular time. Once they click they will receive a live stream of the news with a live comment from the guest(s). An archive will be created and a video will be edited from the most significant moments of each session.
